The owners wanted privacy, the architectural firm REM’A worked on this request, transforming it into the main feature of the work. Casa A is a dinstinctive refuge. The construction of the challenging project by Romeu Ribeiro and José Pedro Marques, built on the outskirts of Guimarães, was completed in 2019. It respected the clients’ wishes and the specific characteristics of the plot itself, which, due to its two levels, required the division into two floors. Light makes its presence felt through the skylights and false walls, which cut through the skewed position of the house. And, thus, the interior meets the exterior and both meet in this harmonious relationship, clad in timber, in diagonal strips, in an instant allusion to a nest. Somewhere to curl up.
