Aytac Architects has developed a challenging project: the Bodrum Museum. From the creative roots of Turkish artist Devrim Erbil a Mediterranean oasis has bourgeoned in the city of Bodrum, which aims to prove equal to the experience that will exist inside: oil paintings, mosaics and stained-glass windows. Embracing vast artistic horizons, the area guarantees a hybrid experience, of floating permanent galleries in a loop, connecting to museum spiral connecting to the garden area. Bookshop, café and a temporary exhibition space are just some of the amenities the building offers, but you could never say its façade, a mosaic ceiling, could be deemed ordinary. Between spirals, straight lines and perfect curves, there is a communion of forms that, as a whole, occupies 1357 sqm and extends over two floors.
