Inspired by the 1950s, by historical references and by the world of contemporary art, Miguel Raposo’s (MR) creations reflect a deep knowledge of elegance and beauty, combining timeless lines, materials of impeccable quality and attention to detail. An example of this is a large-format dining table, a highlight of which is its carefully chosen Estremoz ‘Tiger Skin’ marble top; or the Bakuba stool, inspired by the rich culture of the African people of the same name, with a solid walnut frame and natural leather seat.

He does not follow a recipe, which can easily be repeated, neither does he follow trends or fashions, because just as each client is unique, the spaces have to unique, in keeping with their tastes, requirements and needs. Thus, in combination with technical issues – such as organisation of spaces, lighting, suitable use of materials, sustainability, etc. – he creates unique, timeless environments, valuing details, premium materials and a palette of colours that produce restful environments. One of Miguel Raposo’s recent interior design projects was developed in Alfama, one of the capitals most historic and picturesque neighbourhoods.
