For anyone wishing to spend their weekends in a futuristic space, and who enjoy cooking in an open kitchen, we present Y House, a single family country residence, on the top of Y-shaped floors. The living space is on a semi-floating deck, with sloping walls and a rooftop swimming pool that sits cradled in the hollow of the Y. This project, designed by MVRDV, is in Tainan, about 40 minutes from the sea, in Taiwan. The villa, overlooking the surroundings, contains living spaces. The 330-sqm villa’s living spaces are raised up on a four-floor stem. Large circular windows allow a better entrance of natural light, making the interiors of the house lighter.
