25 years after production ceased on the legendary LM002, Lamborghini has just launched the Urus, a new class of super SUV, but not without first recalling the enormous legacy of an extraordinary car. The Lamborghini Museum’s black LM002, fully restored by the classics department, represents the original creation of Lamborghini SUVs, and is considered the father of luxury SUVs. The development of the LM002 began as a project to develop a high-performance off-road vehicle for military use in the 1970s. The final model was introduced in 1986, attracting plenty of attention for its off-road capabilities and for its impressive design and presence. Like the LM002, the Urus now creates a new SUV class with exceptional power and torque, distinctive design and a striking presence. The Urus ensures luxury dynamics and performance and, like the LM002, has extraordinary capabilities on off-road terrain.
