Hungarian designer and ceramicist Ester Imre speaks to the heart when it comes to her porcelain jewellery. Her grandmother used to collect plates and cups, but Ester didn’t yet understand her fascination. Only when she was already an artist-in-training and was exposed to the material to make art and sculptures did she realise how much she appreciated the delicate and exquisite details of her grandmother’s passion. The result can be seen in many other collections. Here we highlight Table Wear, which captures the essence of these classic heirlooms. The collection contains hundreds of individual handmade pieces, divided into themes Handle it, Rim, Cross cut and The everyday porcelain.
