This umbrella is only a prototype, but we believe it could go down extremely well on the market. The umbrella allows you to store and drink purified rainwater due to its filtering system, which is composed of three levels: metal mesh at the top to collect drops, a removable block inside that contains a carbon filter and a membrane to remove all chemicals and organics as well as tastes and odours from the water. When the filtration process is complete, the drinking water flows down the glass shaft, which is able to hold up to 220 ml. You can also screw a standard bottle to the bottom of the shaft. The project is called Nonagon and is by young Russian designer Volkan Uğurel.
