Colours, trends and a breathtaking view over the River Douro are what greet us when visiting the TFR concept store. A space that has brought plenty of good cheer, every day, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., to the Rua do Passeio Alegre, 550, in Foz do Porto. This is now the third physical store of the brand – created in 2015, having initially been more focused on the footwear sector. Besides its physical spaces in Chiado, Lisbon, Oporto city centre and Foz do Douro, the brand has an online platform where the universe of fashion and lifestyle rules. There’s so much to choose from.
With this new concept of the brand, the founders, Edgar Ferreira and Guilherme Pinto de Oliveira, intend to pamper customers with a possibility of discovering new looks and give them access to different brands and products. The idea was to create unique spaces and promote an informal and, of course, memorable experience.
This ‘Made in Portugal’ concept store is dedicated to the promotion and sales of national and independent brands. In this new space we find footwear, clothing, jewellery, ceramics and accessories. Also, and for the first time, The Feeting Room has turned its attention to children’s brands – it has a room exclusively dedicated to little ones – and, in addition to this, it is also possible to taste the concept of Negra Café – its partner specialising in brunches.
Facing the street, the view meets the River Douro and the terminal of the no. 1 tramline, in Passeio Alegre – a unique place to be seen and to feel. As with the other stores of the group, the spaces strive to promote independent and Portuguese creators. For example, the House of Labels is based on a selection of 36 brands, each with an exclusive area. Many of these brands are already long-time partners of TFR, such as footwear from Portuguese brands JAK, Lemon Jelly, Nobrand and Sanjo, or clothes from +351 and A-line, joined now by newcomer Guaja. However, it is not only shoes and clothing bringing joy to this space, designer jewellery has also brought its sparkle to the store, with a range of pieces from designers Carolina Curado and Inês Telles. In addition to this, the wonders on sale feature a host of accessories and decorative items – highlights include reusable bottles by Lund London – as well as ceramic works of art by Anna Westerlund.
Other international brands can also be appreciated and purchased in this concept store (Edmmond Studios, FRNCH, Far Afield and Insane in the Rain). In addition to everything else, this project has a playroom, for the little ones. This is also one of the most exclusive rooms dedicated to children’s imaginations. Here, colour abounds.
The Feeting Room showcases clothes for children and babies from Wolf & Rita, Hey Soleil, or also from eco brand Barn of Monkeys. And, if when decision time is proving too hard, the best thing is to go for everything, including one of the cuddly toys from Carapau or one of the do-it-yourself lamps from OWL Paperlamps, because here, your whole schedule is sorted: do some shopping and then enjoy a magnificent brunch, as very soon lunch, snacks and cocktails will be served, so, on very hot days, and whenever you’re taking a stroll around Foz do Douro, calmly enjoy some pleasant service and surrender to some new looks.
