Winner of the Architecture MasterPrize 2023 in the Conceptual Architecture category, the Iceland Volcano Museum is a venue that pays homage to the grandeur of the Myvatn region in Iceland, characterised by picturesque landscapes that resemble uncut diamonds. With the goal of bringing the beauty of nature indoors, Studio RE+n has designed a place where the changing seasons can be experienced from inside the museum, allowing for more intimate contemplation and going beyond the level that architecture has reached so far.
