Thierry Mugler was one of the leaders of a small group of designers, based in Paris, known as "créateurs de mode”. Highly talented, he revolutionised French fashion in the early 1970s, paving the way for a whole generation to launch their own brands. And this is what is on show in the retrospective exhibition Thierry Mugler: Couturissime, on show until the 24th of April, 2022 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, in Paris. The highlight is the stunning La Chimère dress in scales, feathers and crystals, worn by Yasmin Le Bon. It’s worth going to Paris just to see it.
