The clients of this timber-framed townhouse renovation and extension wanted
a home full of saturated colours, patterns, textures and light, with Art
Deco touches, using reclaimed materials. The space was then completely clad
with western red cedar, new windows, cornice and entry overhang The dining room
was painted in Rainforest Foliage by
Benjamin Moore, providing a dramatic backdrop for the gold painted elements in
the original marble mantel, as well as the white oak pendant and mustard coloured
upholstered chairs. The kitchen backsplash has been covered in Cle tile
terracotta in Ancestral Iron. The powder room features a turquoise
porcelain sink reclaimed from another project. And the living room has a full
wall of glass wall overlooking the backyard and is painted in Beautiful in my Eyes, a subtly blush
colour by Benjamin Moore.
