In this project, designed by Clara Lleal INTERIORISTA, the challenge was to create spaces open to different artistic expressions. The request came from the artist Juanma Noguera, the owner of the house, who wanted a motto to emerge from his sculptures and paintings that would spread throughout the décor of the Art Gallery House. The first step resulted in the selection of strategic locations in which to display Noguera’s works, taking into account the most premium viewing angles, followed by the restoration of the building’s original materials. Solid brick walls, black sheet metal, floors made of reclaimed wood and teak furniture (to break up the cold of the greys) have propagated the industrial style throughout the rooms. Maximum inflow of natural light was also a priority, achieved by opening up various spaces for skylights and creating an internal courtyard at the back of the property. This is a house fuelled by art, located in Badalona, Barcelona.
