The clients aimed to bring the essence of the Mediterranean town of Cadaqués, home to their first restaurant, to the new gastronomic concept in Barcelona. Slatestone roads, blue windows looking out to the sea, boats bobbing in the bay and wicker handcrafts invading the streets are all part of the artistic spirit of painter Salvador Dalí’s hometown. So, the project by Spanish studio El Equipo Creativo wanted to recreate that picturesque spirit, but reinterpreted from a contemporary urban perspective. The restaurant is located on a classic site in the Eixample neighbourhood, with a spectacular steel structure dating from the beginning of the last century.
