MINI has joined forces with Studiomama, a London based architecture practice, to present at this year’s Salone del Mobile, in Milan, an installation called MINI LIVING – BUILT BY ALL, a residential concept that, in addition to enabling close collaboration between residents and architects, also shows how architecture can provide a creative answer to the scarcity of residential space in urban areas. The MINI LIVING – BUILT BY ALL installation transforms people into active creative minds and puts them back in the centre of the design process. The brand’s first project is currently being built in Shanghai: 50 apartments and communal spaces, with small dimensions, but offering versatility and various possibilities.
