The project was created for a six-bedroom house of a newly married couple, but with children from former relationships, located in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, next to a lake, in the suburbs of Manhattan. KNOF Design thus took into account the dimensions of the property, the logistical requirements of the family and their personal tastes, such as her preference for French furniture and his for Art Deco lines. The spaces were designed with a palette of colours and similar materials, including deep shades of blue, textured finishes and layers, as well as elegant furniture. Glamour has been subtly added with dynamic, large-scale floral wall coverings, with gold and brass metal finishes and with chandeliers.
