Founded in 2018, the Love Tiles brand has focused on communicating emotions, affectionately connecting people to a way of being and feeling every space in their home, provided through elegant and exclusive environments. Now into its second decade of a successful history, the brand presented its new showroom in the Parque das Nações in Lisbon, and for this 11th renovation invited the Atelier Catherine Cabral Interiores. The challenge, as it has been in all previous showrooms, in which some designers and interior designers have been invited, is to present a blank canvas and ask them to create a space from scratch using the latest Love Tiles collections. Their limit is quite truly their imagination, and over the years creativity has truly done its magic, revealing the incredible potential of ceramics. ‘Magic’ is also what Catherine Cabral conjured up.
With more than 18 years of experience in architecture and interior design, Atelier Catherine Cabral Interiores creates projects for private and commercial spaces. Catherine accepted the invitation. "It’s challenging to make an entire space in ceramics. It goes far beyond the normal application because we have to show the product and think about the type of customer that Love Tiles wants to reach. It’s thinking out of the box”, the designer explained. Catherine followed a getaway concept, calling it ‘Let’s Escape’, and created two completely different but complementary spaces. While Escape In is like the perfect getaway for the city, in the continuous pursuit for balance, comfort and elegance, Escape Out is a retreat far from the metropolis, a bucolic place in the countryside or on the beach, materialised with the lightness of the earthy and natural shades of wood. The urban environment is highlighted by the Arise and Genesis collections; away from the city, the Pulse collection and, above all else, the Wooden collection, the latest addition to Love Tiles, take centre stage. The showroom is open to the public and allows consumers to understand the different materials, the different ways of living and applying tiles: that it doesn’t have to be conventional, and can go way beyond applying them to floors and walls.
