"Visualise a boy playing with his friends in the neighbourhood (...) Imagine adults leaning against the fence, chatting and watching their children run and play.” These fond memories "reflect” the owner experience of childhood and the relationship with his mother. After decades apart, the owner wanted to return to the original home in Khet Lat Pharao, Thailand, with his mother in order to live together. The space, designed by Thai AUN Design Studio, is divided into two levels. The mother’s ground floor, including a communal area, with a kitchen and dining room, and the son’s upper floor. The design ensures the continuity of the architecture and interiors by exposing surfaces, walls and ceilings, with bare plaster and painting the walls white, just for the space used by the owner.
