Designed by Australian studio Alexander & Co, in partnership with Tribe Studio, the Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera is a restaurant with capacity for 350 diners, which, in addition to several interior spaces, also offers an outdoor terrace where you can dine under the glittering monumentality of the Burj Khalifa. The restaurant was inspired by the irregular shape and scale of the Opera house and by the oceanic influences of Sean Connolly’s cooking. Each design element explores the sea concept, from the oyster with its combination of soft surfaces and textured surfaces, to the shades and colours of the sea, corals and pearls. Both lighting and furniture are inspired by design from the 20th century.
