Ferrari is leading the class of super sports cars and, in fact, it is difficult to compete with it. Purosangue is the recent model from the Cavallino Rampante brand, which has replaced two-door coupés and the 2+2 solution with four doors and space to accommodate a family. It is the first family car by the Italian brand, proof of which is also the boot, capable of carrying the heavy bags typically needed for going on a family holiday. Shaped like an SUV, it has a slim and sporty appearance. Yet the design tries to preserve the familiar characteristics of the entire Ferrari family tree, from the short ground clearance and not too tall bodywork, to the light and fast look. It is a noble and exuberant piece of engineering, 4973 mm long and with a 3018-mm wheelbase. The cabin is slim at the back and the front is plunging. Moreover, Ferrari was not looking for modesty in its choice of engine, opting for the atmospheric 6.5 V12. The Ferrari Purosangue is an irreverent move, which highlights a preference for greater agility and lightness over interior space. Faced with significant changes, lovers of Italian classics will be comforted with a top speed of 310 km/h and 10.6 seconds to reach 200 km/h. The competition will have to deal with the factors in favour of the Purosangue model: lower weight and height and, still, the status of the fastest SUV on the market.
