The Mobylette, which enjoyed great success in
Brazil in the 1970s, was relaunched by manufacturer Caloi this year to compete
in the electric bike segment. This piece of news grabs the attention of both
anyone who has fond memories of the model and anyone who sees electric vehicles
as a sustainable alternative to the desperate traffic and pollution conditions.
The new version retains the original model of the frame, but has gained a more
economical version. The motor has 350 watts of power, which can be activated by
pedalling or by the accelerator integrated in the bike’s display. The new Mobylette
reaches up to 25 kilometres per hour (km/h), and the battery has a range of 30
kilometres (km).
