It came into being in Portugal in 2008 and, ever since then, has been expanding its projects. This year, Love Tiles celebrated 10 years in business with the presentation of the book 10 anos, dez designers, dez projetos [10 years, ten designers, ten projects] and also marked the date with the opening of its new showroom in Parque das Nações, in Lisbon. At first glance, the setting immediately captures your attention, with elegant and exclusive surroundings, developed to the smallest of details. On the left side the showroom has a space designed for a beach house, inspired by houses of the Costa Nova. The concept is based on the choice of colours. The designer duo from Insight, Paula Gomes and Sílvia Ramos, created the interior design project, built the space and decorated the new showroom. They wanted to reach a larger number of people and therefore a beach concept was created, more aimed at a younger, more feminine, fresher, more beach audience. Then, on the showroom’s right side a space that is more country house style, more serious, more classic and cosier has been created.
Love Tiles celebrates 10 years with book launch and showroom opening in Lisbon.
Both concepts have a great deal to do with the character of the human being. A father, for example, has a more serious, more mature posture and character, and it is in that typical country house, where silence is his best friend, that he feels good. The character of a child is fresher, youthful and free, so it perfectly matches the style of beach house chosen for this showroom. In the spaces what varies most are the colours. For example, on the beach house side, they used splash green, while on the other side they used splash orange. Both give rise to completely different environments. Unique and distinctive. Then, with regard to the metallic range, the Love Tiles’ so-called platinum range was used, in white, in the beach house; and in the country house they used a lot of carbone and rust colour. Among other details, to a certain extent colour dictated the environments that the decorators wanted to work on. The possibility of putting up tiles was taken to the limit. The entire Love Tiles team, from the fitting team or marketing team to the management, was involved, body and soul, in creating this project. Together they have built the brand’s new space and marked the end of a cycle (ten years), while welcoming the beginning of another. Now imagine yourself in a living room listening to the sound of birds chirping in a cage. Wonderful, isn’t?! Yes it is, and even this can be found in the country house of the new Love Tiles showroom.
