It all began with crochet and the urge to explore new forms and raw materials. Rita Teles Garcia, who works in an art and architecture studio, where she is a sculptor and coordinator of the arts department, developing artistic projects, such as the Hermès window displays, in Lisbon, or the WOW, in Vila Nova de Gaia, has been dedicating herself, in parallel, since 2012, to projects that explore textiles. This is how, in 2017, Kroh came into being. Today, the artist blends unlikely techniques and materials, such as embroidery and burel or ceramics and crochet. Most of the raw materials are of Portuguese origin and come from waste.
