Laboratório d’Estórias is an experimental design space that aims to take inspiration from the stories of Portuguese popular culture in order to reinvent traditional objects, This dish was especially designed for tasting olive oil. It represents the tradition of olive growing in Portugal and its design is dictated by a symbolic landscape - the olive grove. The piece is produced in fine stoneware paste, hand-glazed in a translucent white glaze, and complemented by natural pieces made of olive wood, carefully collected from the Portuguese olive grove. And there is one special recommendation. As it wears, olive wood takes on a whitish colour; to tone it and preserve it, you can apply a natural fat - olive oil.
